Students from Mrs. Mendelssohn's class loved meeting Danny the Fire Dog from the West Have Fire Department's on Monday when the WHFD visited Savin Rock!.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Family Math Night at the high school scheduled for Thursday, October 19th, has been canceled. The schools will reschedule the event, and look forward to hosting it another day. The new date and time will be announced once it is confirmed.
Due to inclement weather in Fridayโs forecast, the West Haven High School football game against North Haven High School has been moved to tomorrow, ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ken Strong Stadium.

Today the West Haven Fire Department brought the smoke trailer to teach the 3rd and 4th graders about fire safety. Students also got to meet the fire dog, Danny. Thank you to the WHFD! ๐

Throughout the district, we have many teachers who also attended West Haven Public Schools. Starting today, we will be highlighting those who came back with a weekly Then & Now #TBT post! Today, we feature Mrs. Jill Woychowski, a library media specialist at West Haven High School! Jill, whose maiden name is Eagles, attended Savin Rock, Mackrille, and Bailey, before graduating from WHHS in 1998. Mrs. Woychowski has been teaching in West Haven for 21 years, her entire career! Sheโs also a Westie parent and has a son in the Class of 2025!
