Savin Rock’s annual 4th grade Fine Arts Show took place today, featuring students singing, performing on recorders, and displaying artwork inspired by the music. Staff and classmates were so proud of their hard work. We look forward to welcoming everyone at 6:00pm tonight for the final showing 🎶🎨

A false fire alarm occurred at Savin Rock Community School today. Out of an abundance of caution, students and staff evacuated the building and remained outside for a short period of time in the rain. The West Haven Fire Department cleared the building, and all students have safely returned to class.

Last night, West Haven Public Schools held its annual Unsung Hero Award Dinner, bringing the community together to recognize individuals who make a difference each day. From teachers to front office staff to security guards and many more roles, our district is supported by people who care deeply about their work and the students they serve.
Those honored have gone above and beyond in their roles. Their efforts often take place behind the scenes, but they play an important part in keeping our schools running smoothly. While it is always a team effort, this night was set aside to recognize their contributions.
