Important Notice: Due to the half day scheduled for staff development and the prospect of more snow tomorrow, all West Haven Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This will give the city additional time to clean bus stops and plow roads for those who are still snowed in. With this decision, we expect a full day of school on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.

Students represented Savin Rock, Pagels, Mackrille, and Seth Haley, and every entry impressed the panel. Each participant received a gift basket with cooking tools and kitchen themed items, while the grand winner Noora from Pagels earned the basket plus extra equipment, a cookbook, and a brand new bike and will advance to the regional round later this year.
