The West Haven Family Resource Center (FRC) is located in Savin Rock Community School and is one of 72 Connecticut Department of Education grant-funded centers.

The FRC provides a pivotal central location for identifying and accessing comprehensive, integrated,community-based systems of family support and child development within the following seven components:

  • Families in training

  • Resources and referral

  • Family literacy and parenting workshops

  • Support to daycare providers

  • Positive youth development activities

  • Before– and after-school activities

  • Referrals to preschool childcare, including readiness programs

The FRC also supports students and families in the West Haven School District's School Readiness program and accommodates students who are on readiness site wait-lists until spots open. For more information on the district's School Readiness program, click here.
