On Wednesday, February 5, Savin Rock Students attended a presentation by A Place Called Hope. A Place Called Hope is a rehabilitation center for injured birds of prey. The presenters brought in two owls, a falcon, and a hawk for the students to see and learn about. The presenters informed students about the structures and functions of predatory birds, how birds tie into our ecosystem, and how to prevent birds from getting injured by human impact.
